Minnetonka is a community offering award winning schools, beautiful trails, parks and lakes and an interesting mix in styles and architecture as well as neighborhoods.   Minnetonka is not a cookie cutter community.  It's grown and developed throughout the years and every street, home and neighborhood is unique and different from the other.  One thing that you will find consistantly throughout Minnetonka is a strong sense of community and caring for the area.

Minnetonka gives you the advantage of having easy access to major highways and is just 15 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and about 20 from Saint Paul.  There are many conveniences and shopping such as Ridgedale Mall, Trader Joes, Target and more.  In addition to the major retailers you will find a nice sprinkling of interesting and unique small  stores, co-ops and restaurants.  While enjoying the modern conveniences you also feel tucked into an area rich with wildlife,nature and recreation.  Minnetonka maintains over 81 miles of trails for residents to enjoy year round, 10 hockey and 10 pleasure skating rinks, 44 neighborhood parks and 17 athletic fields. Minnetonka is also next to Lake Minnetonka, one of Minnesota's largest recreation lakes with many beaches and restaurants on the lake to enjoy.

Minnetonka homes span a range of real estate offerings.  Minnetonka neighborhoods offer the perfect starter homes, townhomes and condos as well as large estate homes.  Minnetonka is an older community that has experienced much remodeling as well as new home building projects. 

Minnetonka's award winning schools are consistantly ranked as some of the top in the state of Minnesota.  In addition to Minnetonka the district serves the communities of  Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood, Tonka Bay, Victoria and Woodland.  The elementary schools offer traditional education as well as language immersian beginning in Kindergarten.  There are six elementary schools, Deephaven, Scenic Heights, Groveland, Minnewasta and Excelsior.  There are two middle schools, Middle School East and Middle School West.  The Minnetonka High School which has gone through a beautiful renovation this past year and features state of the art technology, education and some of the best sports facilities in the country.
